At the moment Im planning a drawing to support °jark. But also Im continuing to develop my novel... or story... all depending on how you see it. Thus it brings me to my very first contest:

CONTEST
This contest involves persons and items from my story The Signs of Telepathy. And there are 2 categories:

1: Persons:
Ny novel includes several persons, and I have still to figure out most of their looks. Ive got the details ready for some, others details are just too vague. This contest category is simple. Draw a selected character. Characters are as following:
James Durcov Muthapra
The main person in my novel. Born in june 3rd 2616 by artificial cloning on Earth. Parents disappeared (died) before birth, and he was raised by a droid. He is now 19 years old and has finished his education in the United Terran Alliance Army Accademy (UTA3, division of Earths Army and Protective force). He is a fully educated Mechanoid Assault Warrioir (MAW) Pilot and has the rank of luitenant. The high rank is achieved mainly because of James photographic memory, but also his amazing reactions.
James is 1,80 meters tall with blue eyes. His hair does not follow the fashion at the moment, which is long, instead he has short, nearly 4 centimeters of length. He does not appear strong in the sense of body structure. I dont have much info about facial features, however he rarelly show himself with facial hair. He bears a resemblance to a young Christian Bale (Do a google search ). Clothing is optional, but have in mind Earth anno 2635 is considered utopian. Technological gadgets are descrete in design and with round aerodynamic shapes. Most people on Earth wear a so called "Bracelet" which is a personal computer you simply wear on your wrist.
So freedom when coming to draw James is big, pick him, and let your immagination flow.

Drebnor Shakamazki
Second main, has untill now not appeared much, but unlike James, I have already drawed how I look at him: [link] (Not his last name is different, well I suggest you ask people in Italy on that). Born in 9th of July 2615 by normal means in Egypt on Earth. Now 20 years old he is stationed on board the UTA Medukon (Getting to that ship later on), a interstellar spacecraft guarding the borders of United Terran Alliance territory in space. Drebnor is what you can call a rebel, he has a past of crime, but still he was accepted at the United Terran Alliance Security Accademy. Drebnor is big, and fits the job of security officen on board the UTA Medukon. He is 1,90 meters tall and looks physically strong (as you see). His facial features are many, mainly an "eye of horus" tattoo on his left eye, and a clean cut beard which is cut in a sense of a tattoo (the way I did it was too much, more diskrete would be better actually). His hair is long, and with genetically altered stripes of white in his normal black hair. His clothing is normally dark, and he rarelly leaves without his UTA uniform (getting to that later on). He has a personal gun that he have made all by himself. But you don't need to include that... Since you kinda have a reference drawing you may play a bit around with that consept.

Ackbarh Protuski
A main I have written very little about, however has a significant role in the story so I might as well include him. He is born 7th of January 2616 by normal means on Earth. Now 20 years old he is a taxi driver... yes... he drives a taxi. Comming from the United Terran Alliance Pilot Accademy where he flunked on the final test deliberatly, he started driving taxies professionally. Now being ranked as one of the most successful taxi drivers, and has a reputation of never getting anyone late for where they are going. Regardless of local distance. The taxi he drives is a Rigger model 2635 ([link] getting to that as well). He is typically Egyptian in look, has brown eyes, and is about 1,73 meters tall. Clothing comes in a variaty of neutral colors, mostly gray or white. As mentioned Earth is a clean place, thus you rarelly get dirty. Facial features are a clean cut beard, and the normal fashioned long hair, however in a ponytail. Body structure is a bit stronger looking than James. In fact I have little to no conseption of how he is going to look, so I guess its up to you then...

Karnak Elfora
Not even appeared in the novel yet, but is going to be one of the main plot changes. He is born on June 23rd 2612, making him 23 years old. Also had a normal birth. His parents was abducted and never to be seen again, and he was adopted by the Children of Ra and raised by surrogat parents. At the age of 13 he became independent and took on the egolutionary belief to an almost fanatic state. The relativelly new form of thinking on yourself made him one of the most successful agent in the Children of Ra community. And thus being pretty much the most dangerous man on Earth. Because of his highly fanatic view of the egolutionary belif he is highly selfish and does only things that "serves his purpose", as he oftenly states. However this also makes him a man you can trust. Once you've earned his trust that is. His skills in martial arts and offensive strategies as well as gunfighting are exeptional. Its all in his will to survive. His looks in the egolutionary belief also makes him think life in general is useless, but a thing to be lived, this rather odd irony makes him a cold blooded killer, and he has no objections killing anyone that comes in his way.
This man is also a technological genius. He has crafted a full body armor of plated weapons, mainly guns. His main weapon are his own crafted guns and gun reloader belt. He is 1,81 meters tall with brown eyes. As James, he has short hair. His body is also slim, but he is very strong despite the "lack" of aparent muscular structure. Clothing ranges in black tactical gear, and he never leaves without his guns and reloader belt (however this thing Im taking care of right now so just scratch that). My most interesting character so far... you make him interesting!

My novel aslo includes several rather nice and important items... Heres what you can draw:
Ackbarh's Taxi
It looks about like this: [link] Bit I really miss features of a real car. More squared (uet aerodynamix) shapes. The general idea is the hoover engines are in its "wings" (Thus normal cars also follow the design of the special wings).

UTA Medukon
Its a bordership, it contains a crew of 20 or so men (and women ) Drebnor is on it... It has weapons, I can fly in atmosphere... Those are the things you generally need to know... Good luck should you choose this. Also remember, its property of UTA, UTA is from Earth, Earth has an utopian atmosphere.

James MAW
The mechanoid Assault Warrior for James Durcov Muthapra. A Mechanoid Assault Warrior is simply a machine that uses legs to travel through terrain. Their designs vary, but their feet are normally designed with backwards knees (if you catch my drift), the cockpit is bulky and resemblence the head of an animal... wolf preferably (in design... not a wolfs head on legs). Its weapons can vary, but there are 2 main weapons attached to "arms" out of the head. Keep in mind James is luitenant and very skilled, thus he has a very tactical look. Think Mechwarrior types of mechs... but please not too japanized, think realistic... not those stupid energy batteries on the outside... I mean please! Energy shields are also a no-no... But yeah, think tactical and think cool, thats all you need to know.


That was all... Choose 1, or multiple. But know this... the prize is "only" a comissioned picture from me... But it can be anything... Mind you it will be drawn in pencil. I will be the judge, so the ones I like the most, and the ones I think resemble the character the most will be the winner, regardless of quality (...ok do not think you can draw a sircle and call it the UTA Medukon, thats just silly). Good Luck... Deadline... 2006 actually... (01.01.06). So there is time... lots of time. Also know that I will redraw everything of theese (unless your submission fits so perfectly well that Im gonna send you a note to request to use it in my novel) when the contest is done in adition to comission.
